Choosing the Right Ozone System - Sealed Glass, and Why It Matters Here
AZCO, Clearwater Tech and Absolute Ozone all use sealed glass ozone generating cells inside. The glass does not corrode, does not pit and never needs scrubbing. Ceramic and plate machines break down in tropical conditions and need constant maintenance. Sealed glass does not.
AZCO and Clearwater Tech have models that run on ordinary air or on oxygen. Absolute Ozone is only Oxygen driven. Oxygen roughly doubles the output from the same machine, and that is what we fit for demanding jobs.

To achieve peak efficiency and maintain high ozone concentrations, industrial ozone systems require proper feed-gas preparation.
Depending on the model, this may be pure dry air or concentrated 93%+ pure Oxygen. We help match the gas-supply equipment to the generator and the job.
The air dryer or the oxygen concentrator is not an optional extra. It is part of the system, and we size it with the generator rather than selling it separately.

Not when the system is set up properly, and that is the whole job.
Ozone is dosed into the water, does its work, then has to be removed before the water returns to the animals. That is done with a contact chamber and degassing, sized to your system.
The level is controlled by ORP monitoring. Too much ozone causes problems for the animals, so the reading has to drive the generator rather than the other way round.
Most professional aquariums already run ORP monitoring as part of their life support system. Our generators tie into it. If you do not have it, you need it before you have ozone.

The ORP reading tells you how much oxidant is in the water. That signal controls the ozone generator — output goes up when the reading drops and down when it climbs.
We tie our generators into whatever monitoring you already have. We do not supply the ORP system itself, because by the time an aquarium is looking at ozone it normally has one.

How fast depends on the tank volume, the existing filtration and the load. But water clarity is usually the first thing anyone notices, and it happens quickly.
No. It works alongside it.
Mechanical filtration removes solids. Biological filtration handles ammonia and nitrite. Ozone deals with the dissolved organics that make water yellow and cloudy, and that filtration alone will not shift.
A filter traps particles as air passes through it. Ozone oxidises the smell molecules themselves, including the ones sitting on walls, curtains and carpet. For a stubborn smell, a filter will not get there.
Very little. The sealed glass generator needs no routine servicing — there is nothing to scrub, nothing to descale and nothing to replace on a schedule.
That is the main practical difference between sealed glass and the ceramic and plate machines sold into this market, which need constant attention to hold their output.
