Ozone treatment deliberately produces ozone, a powerful oxidising gas used in controlled commercial odour-removal and treatment applications.

Bipolar ionisation generates positive and negative ions that are introduced into the air through a room unit or HVAC system. The two technologies work differently and are suited to different applications, which is why ProMedUSA does not treat them as interchangeable.

Ozone must be used with an appropriate safety procedure. Use only in unoccupied rooms and never leave a unit in a guest room when guests are present. People and animals should not be exposed to the high ozone concentrations used for professional room “shock treatments” and the area should only be returned to normal use after the treatment is complete and ozone has dissipated or been adequately ventilated.

For occupied spaces, Bipolar ionisation is gentle. It runs all day in rooms with people in them. Different jobs. We sell both because buildings need both.

Many of PurAire’s fixed units, the ones on the wall or in the ducting, hold UL 2998 certificates. The portable DUO and AirPro-MAX do not. They make a small trace amount of ozone at the nozzle, which spreads out and becomes almost impossible to measure once the air is moving. We would rather tell you that now than have you find out later.

Not automatically. HEPA filtration physically captures particles that pass through the filter, while bipolar ionisation acts differently within the air stream or treated space.

The technologies are complementary as bipolar ionisation causes tiny particles to clump together making HEPA or MERV filters much more effective. 

Important parameters can include CO₂, PM2.5, PM10, TVOCs, formaldehyde, temperature and relative humidity, with additional parameters depending on the building and application.

Singapore’s 2026 NEA guidance specifically recommends ongoing IAQ management in commercial buildings and recognises CO₂ as a useful indicator of ventilation adequacy. SS 554:2026 is the current Singapore Code of Practice for IAQ in air-conditioned buildings. All 3 products that we offer, Kaiterra, Atmocube and our own PurAire IAQ systems monitor all these critical parameters.

Yes, where the monitoring equipment, building controls and treatment equipment are properly integrated and commissioned. 

These are often referred to as “Closed Loop Systems”.

Kaiterra supports BACnet/IP, Modbus and API/BMS integration, while Atmocube supports Modbus, MQTT, API and other building-integration options. Singapore’s Green Mark framework also recognises the use of real-time IAQ measurements for zonal HVAC control.

ProMedUSA can therefore design monitoring as more than a dashboard: where appropriate, the data can become part of the building-control strategy.

Ozonated water such as our SG-OzPAK or Tersano’s SAO uses ozone dissolved in water as an oxidising cleaning agent.

Tersano’s Stabilised Aqueous Ozone and the Ozonated Water Jet Spray from the SG-OzPAK are generated on demand from tap water and is designed to replace many routine cleaning, deodorising and sanitising products.

It will not necessarily replace every specialist chemical used in a facility, but it can substantially reduce – up to 80% of conventional daily-use cleaning products required.

Properly engineered ozone treatment can improve water quality by oxidising dissolved organic material, reducing colour and organic loading, supporting solids removal and reducing microbial loads.

However, ozone dosage and residual oxidants must be carefully controlled because excessive residual ozone can harm aquatic organisms. Professional systems therefore require correct ozone generation, mass transfer, contact time, monitoring and residual-ozone management.

Yes. Where measurement is appropriate or requested, ProMedUSA can use professional IAQ and ozone-monitoring equipment to establish baseline conditions and evaluate the results after treatment or installation.

When independent third-party verification is required, you can also state that you will typically use TÜV or another recognised laboratory appropriate to the application.
